The Executive Board for the International Organization of the Meditterranean Games decide in Paris, with the 12 to 1 vote (only IOMG Secretary General, Isidoros Kouvelas, voted for Greece), to withdraw the Games of 2013 which originally were to be organized in Larissa and Volos in Central Greece as the country showed significant delays in constructing the Village for the athletes. Greece was entitled to host the Games on 27/10/2007 in Pescara, Italy.
