Galanis Sports Data launched its first TV Graphics service back in 1986, during the Bruno Zauli Athletics Championships  and the 5th World Waterpolo FINA Cup, both televised by ERT.

At that time the character generators used were two BBC computers with COX genlock cards and two years later were replaced by many AMIGAs.

During the early nineties, mainly due to the introduction in Greece of private television (ANTENNA TV and MEGA CHANNEL), there has been a boom of TV coverage of sports events.

Today, over 20% of the 2,500 sports events covered yearly by Galanis Sports Data are televised, and TV graphics are inserted using various systems, including AGILE, DVG of ORAD, Inscriber etc.
